PATTERN TESTER/DESIGNER

Sister Nettle is looking for a professional, timely, self-motivated woman to add to the team as a pattern tester and, if experience allows, designer. If experience is limited, the role will consist of hourly pay to sew test patterns for future production. If experience allows, this role will also include pattern modifications at minimum, and could include more involved design work over the long-term. Experience sewing both knits and woven fabrics (our work includes hemp, bamboo, organic cotton, raw silk and linen) is strongly preferred.

Our team members in production work part-time, and here in the USA, we all work from our own homes and make our own schedules. The freedom of at-home work demands a high level of personal accountability and internal motivation from each individual on the team. 

This is a long-term position with a team of women who love what they do. For this position, you will be joining a group of women who have been working for Sister Nettle and our production partners for anywhere from 3-5 years.

Skills & Requirements:
Detail-oriented & adaptable
Good communication
Experience in garment construction
Access to home machines (serger, topstitcher, coverstitch a bonus)
Flexible part-time schedule
Clean, organized workspace at home
Ability to self-manage and maintain high-quality standards
