BLOCKPRINTERS
Sister Nettle is looking for a professional, timely, self-motivated woman to add to the team as a blockprinter. All of our blockprinted clothing apparel are hand-printed with stamps carved by Megan. We mix our own ink colorways and print each floral and symbolic detail with individual stamps.
Most of our team members in production work part-time, and here in the USA, we all work from our own homes and make our own schedules. The freedom of at-home work demands a high level of personal accountability and internal motivation from each individual on the team. Our US-based production work is paid on a per-garment basis.
This is a long-term position with a team of women who love what they do. For this position, you will be joining a group of women who have been working for Sister Nettle and our production partners for anywhere from 3-5 years.
Skills & Requirements:
Detail-oriented & adaptable
Good communication
Preferred experience with blockprinting or other art mediums (not required)
Adequate workspace for blockprinting & garment drying at-home (4'x5' table & a clothes rack, at minimum, plus access to a utility sink for clean-up)
Flexible part-time schedule (open to shifting workloads depending on seasons and pre-orders)
Clean, organized workspace
Ability to self-manage and maintain high-quality standards

SEAMSTRESSES
Sister Nettle is looking for experienced, professional, at-home seamstresses to join our team. We would prefer experience sewing both knits and woven fabrics (our work includes hemp, bamboo, organic cotton, raw silk and linen) but we can also adapt to experience in one category or the other.
