Sister Nettle Wild Geese Altar Cloth
These 100% cotton cloths are handsewn by Stefanie of Moon Rabbit Craft, and screenprinted by hand here in Knoxville. The design was created by me with the idea of being displayed in an ancestral blue, like the haint blue of porch ceilings in the South - as I hang this piece in honor of my own ancestors, my memories, and the Norns/Fates/Wyrd sisters (three of them) who spin, weave, and cut the threads of time in European folk belief. This was a personal piece for me, serving purpose in my own home as I begin to incorporate the ancestral practices of my European past, and honor my female ancestors. I hope it serves a purpose for you in your home as well.
Oh! The plant allies included here are: Milky Oats, Dogwood Rose, Mimosa Pudica, and Motherwort.
These cloths measure 16" square, and are being sold as ready to ship. The FLY AWAY HOME name does come from the movie about the girl raising a flock of Canadian Geese, which I still have my childhood VHS tape of. :)
